01
The problem.
Walk-in chaos at a busy shop.
A mid-tier barbershop runs on walk-ins, and on a busy day nobody knows the order. The customer at the door counts the heads, guesses the wait, and some of them leave for the shop down the road.
Inside, the order gets argued at the counter, one barber is overloaded while another waits, and the owner has no record of who came in or who walked out.
02
What it does.
Eight features. One queue.
- i
Walk-in queue
Customers join a live queue and can see their place in it.
- ii
Appointments
Booked customers and walk-ins share one queue.
- iii
Wait-time prediction
Each customer gets an estimated wait, worked out from the queue ahead of them and the services they asked for.
- iv
Barber workload and idle detection
The owner sees which barber is busy, which is free and which chair has been sitting idle.
- v
Customer records
Visit history and contact details for every customer.
- vi
Role-based views
The owner, the barbers and the front desk each get their own screen.
- vii
QR join and WhatsApp alerts
A QR code at the door puts the customer in the queue, and a WhatsApp message tells them when their turn is close. The messages go out through Bhejna.
- viii
Kiosk and PWA mode
Runs on a tablet at the counter as an installed web app. Nothing to download from an app store.
03
How it works.
From the shop door to the customer's phone.
The queue runs in BarberBase. The WhatsApp messages go out through Bhejna, our delivery layer, which queues each message and retries it until it is delivered.
